Chef Cheryl grew up in Burlington, one of fourteen children. She learned from her mother how to make ends meet and yet serve a deliciously nutritious meal. After raising a family, Cheryl had the opportunity to attend the world famous Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh where she earned her degree in Culinary Arts as well as a spot on the Honor Society. Graduating second in her class, she quickly started her own line of gourmet butters and spreads which were sold in public markets, retail stores and farmers markets throughout southwest Pennsylvania.

Now she has the opportunity to serve her original recipes in panini's, daily made soups and farm fresh salads after purchasing the former Sugar Snap on Riverside Avenue, just a short walk from The Community Health Center of Burlington.

Her creative energy has gone into remodeling the tiny space into a spectacular throwback to the comfort of a family kitchen.

Come see and enjoy the warm ambiance of the Little Red Kitchen and feel like a kid again while you dine on an affordable lunchtime meal. Or stop in and take some of her fresh soups or foods home for quick to prepare dinner, knowing that your family is getting nothing but the best and freshest foods in Vermont!
